Bridal portraits have always been one of my absolute favorite genres of photography. I always have the best time watching the brides as they become even more excited about their upcoming wedding. There’s something so special when they finally get to see their entire wedding day look come together. The dress, shoes, veil, hairpieces, jewelry, hair and makeup….it’s always fun when you’re choosing them but there’s still a part of you that is a little apprehensive because you wonder “is it all going to look great together?” Well, let me just tell you this. When the bride finally gets it all together and she’s wearing her entire bridal look, oh it’s just a beautiful sight! And if she’s got a few special people in attendance with her for her session, I can assure you that they’re just as happy and even crying a few tears.
Mary Frances’ Tryon Palace sophisticated bridal portraits in New Bern NC was just like that. You could hear her mom, Granny and sister just burst with joy as they saw Mary Frances step into her beautiful chic lace wedding gown. And as her mom’s best friend walked in, she was instantly taken back by the beauty! The joy and love for Mary Frances just filled that grand bridal suite. I loved how her sister carefully made sure that her veil was placed just perfectly as to not move one hair out of place. It was so beautiful to watch them giggle and reminisce about helping her sister get ready for her own wedding last year. And as if Mary Frances’ bridal look wasn’t as gorgeous as it was already, her gran made sure to bring along the perfect little additions…her jewelry. She even gave Mary Frances a tiny gold wedding band. Watching the smile that came across Mary Frances’ face I could only think that she was filled with joy & love knowing that she had a special heirloom from her Gran that will soon be a reminder of her vows to Matt.
As we started her bridal session in the Tryon Palace on the grand staircase, it was easy to see that this was the perfect location that complimented Mary Frances’ regal & sophisticated bridal style. From the gardens to the front of the palace gates, this session was absolutely breathtaking! Here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!
