The temperatures are starting to cool, the leaves are slowly starting to change colors and the days are ending more quickly. As if those things didn’t tell you that Fall is full swing here then I’d love to show you my calendar. It’s all out wedding and portrait mode here. Shoot, edit, blog, share and repeat. LOL It can be a grueling season for sure. But what helps you push past the body aches, tiredness and let’s be real some crankiness, is getting to celebrate your couples! Earlier this week I had the chance to spend time with one of my sweetest and dear brides Blake!
Blake and I go back quite a bit. She’s a sister to Kelsey one of my 2016 brides, her stepmom is my insurance agent, and she’s been a past boudoir clients alibi so we could pull off a surprise! And if I have to share who’s been to most of my local weddings either as a guest or a part of the bridal party it would hands down be Blake. We’ve giggled about being always the bridesmaid/wedding guest never the bride. Well thank goodness Sean came into Blake’s life and has finally made her the bride!
I absolutely LOVED watching Blake and Sean together at their Eastern NC Fall engagement portraits. Blake wanted to have her wedding at her grandparents house on the Pasquotank River, but with all the logistics that go into wedding planning it just ended up not being the best venue option. So instead she asked that her engagement portraits be taken there. And goodness was it the absolute BEST location for her portraits! Sean and Blake’s sweet German Shepherd Mila joined along for their portraits. You would never know that she was literally running around, chasing us and photobombing us from time to time. She even got in a few to snuggle up with her momma. I think she was a tad jealous that Sean was getting quite a bit of Blake’s attention! LOL
Goodness the way Sean looks at Blake! You can easily tell that he simply adores her! He’s the one that calms her and brings the biggest smile on her face. I honestly can’t tell you what I love the most about their session because it was just that great! The outfits, sweet Mila, the location, the amazing sunlight and the way these two love on each other…seriously so in love! Gosh I can’t wait till their fall wedding next year!
