Ruba and Jim welcomed their closest family and friends to celebrate the start of their marriage in one of the most romantic places to have a destination wedding; historic Charleston SC. They had family travel from many different places, with the furthest place being Jordan. It may have been a rainy weekend but that never stopped the celebration and that it was!
With beautiful decor and lots of natural light, The Mills House was the perfect venue, full of Charleston history and charm for Ruba and Jim’s destination wedding. With the help of her sister, mom and aunt, Ruba dressed in her lace St. Patrick bridal gown that she found in Italy on a vacation with her mom and sister. I just love the lace detailing and Ruba’s veil was the perfect addition to complete her bridal look. Once ready Ruba headed to meet Jim at the church.
As Ruba walked down the aisle with her uncle by her side, Jim sweetly smiled as he saw Ruba for the first time in her wedding gown. He wasn’t the only one taken back, Ruba’s family was so excited that they all celebrated with a joyful ululation! Witnessing not only two people saying “I Do”; but watching two cultures coming together to create another beautiful and unique family rich in culture and love is simply amazing!
After officially becoming husband and wife, Ruba and Jim wanted to maximize their time celebrating with their guests so they made an early entrance into the cocktail party! They laughed, hugged and enjoyed the company of all of their guests. Followed by dinner, the special dances, the real celebration started! With beautiful belly dancing, line dancing, there wasn’t a guest that wasn’t having a great time!
Thank you Ruba and Jim for inviting me to celebrate with you, your families and friends in beautiful Charleston SC! I absolutely loved being a part of your day!
