When first meeting Liz and Jacob, I instantly fell in love with them. Not only are they incredibly sweet people, but I also love how thoughtful and intentional they are in everything that they do. It took Jacob 6 months to plan out the perfect proposal in which he enlisted the help of her best friend. And after a well planned and successful proposal, it was time to plan for the perfect wedding day. Which only took about 22 months to do. It was important to them to not only have the wedding of their dreams but to make sure their family and friends had just as an amazing time too!
So in planning their dream wedding, it was a pretty easy decision as to where they would celebrate. Liz and Jacob went back to where it all started….NC State University! It’s where they met, made lots of memories with friends….it’s their alma mater. And they absolutely LOVE being NC State Alumni! Liz and her bridesmaids started their day relaxing and getting ready at the new swanky hotel on NC State’s Centennial Campus, The State View hotel. They joined Jacob and the groomsmen over at The State Club for the first look and bridal party portraits. It was so important to Liz and Jacob that as many photos as possible be done before the ceremony so that they could spend the rest of the evening celebrating alongside their guests.
After they said “I Do” at Jacob’s childhood church everyone gathered at The State Club for an evening full of fun, great food and celebration. It was after dinner that Liz and Jacob had a special surprise waiting for their guests. No party at state is complete without the one and only Mr. and Mrs. Wuf! When they made an exciting entrance into the reception….the party had officially begun!! The guests just had so much fun dancing with them! And before Mr. and Mrs. Wuf said goodbye, Liz and Jacob asked all the NC State Alumni to join them for an alumni portrait.
As Liz and Jacob danced, laughed and loved alongside their families and many friends into the late hours it was so clear to see just how loved they are. The joy and love that was shown throughout the entire day was nothing short of amazing and inspiring. I love how Liz and Jacob support each other in their dreams, how they work together to make it happen and most of all how they encourage each other to be better people…to continue to grow, see new things and to challenge themselves.
Congratulations Liz and Jacob! I’m so happy for you both and I wish you many many wonderful and fun years together!
