In first meeting Ally via Skype for her wedding consultation, I knew that I was absolutely going to LOVE her!! Chatting with her was so much fun and so easy…we both said that it had already felt like we had know each other for years! So to say that I was just a tad excited to actually meet her and Wes for their fall Westpoint On The Eno engagements in person would be an understatement! You guys seriously they are beyond sweet, fun and so laid-back!
When planning Ally’s engagement session there was 2 things that she was absolutely sure to incorporate in her session. First was the location! Westpoint On The Eno has a special place in her heart. And as we’re walking around Westpoint she’s telling just how special this place was to her and I couldn’t help but tear up! You see It’s where Wes got down on one knee and proposed to her! It’s also where when she was a young child her Granny would take her there to play or walk the trail. With so many great memories it’s no surprize why she chose to have her engagement session there. The other important addition to their engagement session was making sure that her sweet pup Chester came along too! Oh you guys he’s such a sweet pup! I just loved working with him! I hope they gave him a little treat because he was so well behaved! Huge thank you to Rachel, Ally’s mom! She helped us with Chester for their shoot.
After spending some time at Westpoint, we ventured over to the American Tobacco District for some pictures there as well. The Tobacco District is such a fun place to shoot at in Durham! Maybe because it’s packed with some of the best restaurants in Durham! I love the industrial look, the brick, the lighting and all the water features. It really is one of my favorite places to shoot in Downtown Durham! I’m so excited that I get to photograph Ally + Wes’ wedding in the Spring of next year! I know we’re going to have such an AMAZING time! I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from their engagement session!
