Earlier this week I finally got to meet Taylor & Alex in person for their Downtown Fremont NC engagement session! Since we lived a couple of hours away we chatted on Skype for their wedding consult. And I have to say…I absolutely fell in love with them! They are funny, beyond sweet and they’re head over heels for another! I’ve been looking forward to this session since they booked!
Oh and of course the brutal summer heat is still lingering but man you can’t even tell that it was so hot! These two had no problems loving and cuddling with one another that’s for sure! They did amazing! I absolutely loved how Alex can easily make Taylor laugh! She would start laughing and smiling and it was so beautiful! Watching them as they walked hand in hand, smiling and laughing….and you can see the joy that they give to another. And when we started pictures with the family draft horse (who decided he would rather be back with his pals at the barn) started to kick up, Taylor was a little afraid and I loved how Alex would hold his hand out for her to grab and tell her “it’s okay come closer”. You could see he understood her reservation yet offered her a steady hand. That is another gift of love. Having that hand to hold when you need it. It’s so wonderful to see that insight into a friendship, a love and marriage.
I was excited the entire time I was shooting their session because they were so comfortable and just amazing in front of the camera. I just kept telling them “you guys are making this so easy”. And that’s how it should be. I love that comfort & trust level….that’s when you know you can really capture a couple in the most genuine way. I can’t wait for Taylor & Alex’s winter wedding in January at the Laboratory Mill in Lincolnton, NC!
