Over the weekend I traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to meet this gorgeous couple, Nicole + Joe for their Piedmont Park Downtown Atlanta engagement session! They’re high school sweethearts and after 9 years together they’re finally ready to tie the knot! Nicole recently moved to Atlanta from Florida to start her new career in OR nursing and Joe will be joining her in just a few weeks after he graduates with his degree in Accounting. I just enjoyed chatting with Nicole about the operating room since I use to be a surgical tech. I just love her attitude and I know she has what it takes to be an amazing OR nurse!

Since Nicole was new to the Atlanta area she wanted to have her engagement session in her and Joe’s new home city! And what a great way to celebrate a new beginning and their engagement than to have a session in which you can show off your new town! The Downtown Atlanta skyline was so amazing! I don’t think I’ve been in that big of a metro city since my last visit to New York! Navigating thru the traffic can quickly make you feel as if you’re in NYC traffic! LOL Thankfully Nicole & Joe let us ride along with them because there was no way I would make it thru the traffic. LOL

After a short walk we entered the Piedmont Park and it was beautiful! There’s stone stairways, grassy lawns, bridges and beautiful walkways! It offers so much for a portrait session. Everywhere you looked there was another beautiful spot that would be perfect for pictures. We had so much there we didn’t even need to go anywhere else! And what I love is that there’s so much room that even though this was quite the busy park on a Saturday afternoon, I still managed to make it look as if we had the entire park to ourselves. Which made me so happy because there were plenty of people walking around in search of the various Pokémon! LOL
