I had such a wonderful time with Chelsea & Hunter during their beautiful fall Duke Gardens Engagement session. We spent the session just walking around and until we saw something that inspired us. I can’t even begin to tell you which spot was my favorite. There’s something special and unique about each one. And just think we didn’t even see the entire gardens! I know I can shoot there several more times and could find something new to use every single time! We actually got a little lost in the Asiatic section of the gardens. And for the life of all 3 of us…we debated exactly what the proper pronunciation of Asiatic was! Every time we said it…it just didn’t sound right. True story LOL Thankfully we managed to get out of there…only to get lost again at the end of the session. We had to walk from the Duke admissions back to the garden entrance. Needless to say we were a tad worn out by the end!
Watching these two and how they love on one another just makes me even more excited to be photographing their wedding next year in Durham! They are so comfortable, inviting and so personable. This was only the second time meeting with them and it’s honestly as if I have known them for many years! I absolutely loved joking with Hunter and talking with Chelsea about her goal to be a psychologist with the VA Hospital. I think my heart grew a million times fonder of Chelsea when she told me that! (I have a special place in my heart for anyone that helps Veterans).
Can I just say that Chelsea and Hunter did such an amazing job with their outfits? Chelsea’s dress actually came from my favorite local boutique store; Honey & Hive! (I love shopping local and helping other small business owners…so be sure to check them out!) She paired her dress perfectly with her cute booties!! And I loved how Hunter complemented her with his blue button-up. They nailed it again with their second outfit with another fantastic fall look with a more casual style. Mixing up your wardrobe is a quick and simple way to instantly add variety to your session!
Here’s just a few of my favorites from Chelsea & Hunter’s engagement session! Enjoy!!
