After several months of talking back and forth; Kelly & Andrew’s Downtown Charleston Engagements were FINALLY here! I was super excited to be in the infamous “Holy City”. And to be shooting an engagement session there was surely a highlight of my career! I literally scoped out my spots the night before and the morning of the session. Thankfully Andrew & Kelly had only one request….make sure we have that Charleston look and feel! Well it’s kinda hard not to because Charleston is so beautiful and has a VERY distinct look.
After stopping by the Palmer’s Pinckney Inn to pick me up we began our little adventure around the Historic District streets. We literally just parked the car and got out and walked around. We would stop and shoot for a little bit when we found a spot that looked great and had beautiful light. When we were done we would start walking again until we came to the next spot. I just absolutely loved the many different colors and textures the homes had to offer. Everywhere you turned there was something else that would catch my eye. The options were unlimited! Even the beautiful cobblestone roads helped make these pictures amazing. However I have to say that for as much as I loved the cobblestone I hated it when I would begin to trip. So trying to shoot and watch your step often proved to be difficult at times LOL!
I’m so excited for their wedding next July at the Magnolia Plantation. And because we were in such a beautiful place we couldn’t help but make sure we made the most of their session. So we made sure that we did a few at their wedding venue. And I can’t wait for you to see them as well! I had so many favorites that I decided to make two blog posts! Make sure you check back on Friday for the second part taking place at the plantation!
Here are my favorites from Downtown Charleston! Enjoy!
