Most of my brides have been local and in some way I either know them or someone I know is friends with them. However this year I have started getting interest from brides that are not from around here. I also booked my first destination wedding on our beautiful beaches in Carova, NC at The Wild Horse Inn. Which is only accessible by 4X4. Thank goodness I have a sweetie pie of a husband that took a day off from work to be my driver for the day. Their guests were shuttled to and from the wedding in the coolest bus. With Lucy & Robby’s wedding being a destination wedding I didn’t meet them until their wedding. Just from our emails I knew that Lucy was going to be amazing and a blessing to work with. And I was totally right!! Even with a rainy dreary forecast for her wedding Lucy literally never let it get her down. She smiled the entire time and completely embraced the day. Lucy and Robby had a wonderful, sweet and simple ceremony on the deck surrounded by their close family and friends. After the ceremony we took a few minutes as the rain started to fall again and grabbed some more alone pictures. I’m so glad they wanted to do a first look because we were able to get these gorgeous couple shots and all of our bridal pictures done before the weather turned. So potential brides if your considering a first look weather can be a huge factor on why you should consider doing it. Their reception was also nothing short of laid back and simply enjoying each others company. From wonderful toasts and a sweet speech from the father of the bride everyone knew just how much these two loved each other, how much they were loved and how happy everyone was to be there to celebrate their marriage.
It was such a pleasure meeting Lucy & Robbie and capturing their day. Here are just a few of my favorites that help tell their wedding story. ENJOY!!
